After a lengthy bus transfer and a short ferry ride, we arrive at Koh Samui and the reception of Chalee Villa. We were a little distressed on our drive into what resembled a construction site but once at the beach, the huts were traditional and quaint. When told we were booked into a bungalow off the beach, we requested a possible transfer to a hut. We had a quick change of heart when we realised that despite the fan, the heat in the room was still unbearable. After a fairly lazy day at the beach and being pampered at a swanky neighbouring resort, we taxi'd into the busy Chaweng area for some food and browsing. It was hectic and we were heavily hassled by tailors and maitre d's for custom. Home.
