This morning we left our beautiful beach hut in Koh Pha Ngan for a three day SSI open water diving course on Koh Tao. After an early rise and a quick crossing on a catamaran - stopping off at the striking Koh Nangyuan en route - we met our instructor Nacho on arrival at the Scuba Shack. We went directly to collect our kit before sitting down to watch our first two instrucion vidoes and heading out on our first dive. The conditions were perfect with still, clear waters and blue skies.
In the evening, as we worked on our course papers at Buddha View, we were treated to a spectacular lightning storm.
